Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer, it’s such a beautiful time of year as we move closer towards Autumn and the lovely fall colours. It’s also nice to see how many visitors we have viewing our Nova Scotia 55+ Games Society website.
It’s exciting to observe the momentum that’s growing for our Games, the energy and enthusiasm. Everyone’s looking forward to the upcoming Nova Scotia 55+ games being hosted in Bridgewater Nova Scotia this September 2025.
Nova Scotia 55+ Games 2025
The Games will be held September 21-24, 2025. The methodology is to celebrate active living, competition, and community, bringing together athletes aged 55 and older from across the province. Hosted throughout Lunenburg County, including Bridgewater, Chester, and surrounding communities, the Games feature various sports and activities which are designed to challenge and engage participants of all skill levels.

The real goal is for like-minded individuals to participate at venues where a friendly, healthy environment and social setting has been created and exists, amongst peers and fellow participants, for everyone to witness a positive and uplifting experience while keeping active and having fun!
The NS 55+ Provincials games are held every second year with Nationals being hosted in the offsetting, alternating years, also every second year. As previously shared, the Pictou provincial games held in 2023 were a complete success and we expect the Bridgewater 2025 Games to be as good, or better. It should be noted that as of right now, after a short one term sabbatical, the next National games will be held in 2028. We’ve also heard mention for the possibility of an Atlantic Games, although this still remains unconfirmed.
Once again, the NS 55+ Provincial Games will occur September 21 to 25, 2025.
The 55+ Board, its organizational members, committees along with the host event organization and members have been very active assembling, planning and organizing what is sure to be another very successful games.
