A very important decision was made today by the Canadian Senior Games Association and the Kamloops 2020 Canada 55+ Games Host Committee on the future of the 2020 Canada 55+ Games relative to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

In light of the fact that nobody knows when this pandemic will be overcome, a joint decision was made to postpone the Games until 2021, with a date to be determined. This decision was made with the full support of the City of Kamloops and we thank them for their continued support of these Games.

This decision is not solely about participant health - it is about public health. With COVID-19 and the associated risks, it is not safe for our participants, and the health and safety of their families to continue training or travelling to the 2020 Canada 55+ Games. We look for forward to all the participants that have registered or were considering registering for the 2020 Games to join us in 2021 for the celebration and socializing following the overcoming of the COVID-19 Virus.
