President’s Message October 8, 2022

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Renda VanderToorn in August of this year. Renda served as a Director of the 55+

Games Society and as the National Director. She volunteered many hours to ensure members had the best experience possible at the National Games. The 55 + Games Society will miss her energy and dedication. Thank you Renda.

Terry Gilroy, President.

55+ CANADA GAMES, KAMLOOPS,2022

Kamloops hospitality, sunny weather and an uplifting Opening Ceremonies got us on track to experience fun times, great camaraderie and to bring home some medals too! Congratulations to Gower Thompson and Mary Murray who were the team flag bearers. Mary also contributed to the team spirit by giving out NS Tartan pins to all. Event results, medals awarded, and pictures from the Games can be viewed (and pictures uploaded) at: https://www.kamloops55games.com/.

Kudos to all who participated. Much thanks to Janet MacIsaac, our Team Coordinator, who worked so hard with Renda to get us organized and registered for the Games.

Thanks to Ellen Rudderham-Gaudet, the National Director and to Duncan Gould, acting alternate Director for their work at the Games.

If you have any questions or want to provide feedback about the Games in Kamloops, please contact Ellen at this email: ns@canada55plusgames.com
